Angel

Our little angel is 9 months! She enjoys getting into what ever she shouldn't be into and eating whatever she can find. I can see the tops of her two bottom teeth, and she really hasn't been grumpy. I think Aaron and I are spoiled.

My grandparents recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. What a tremendous example they have been. They have been an example to me in working hard, sewing, cooking, importance of family, and having fun. Grandpa is always ready to work and grandma ready for a game of cards. I'm grateful for our Lake Powell trips and the cabin where our families get together. We have so much fun together. Thanks for everything grandpa and grandma! Love ya.

July

July 29th: Seely Anne is 7 months now. She is a delight to have in our home. She has been sitting up now for a month or so and can scoot around, backwards. She is a happy kid and we love her smile and her easy-going personality. She eats anything I give her and drinks from a sippy cup. She still looks just like her dad. Seely, we love you!

July 3-4:
Paul and April came and stayed with us on the 3rd. We went fishing up the mountain at Ferron. April caught the biggest, way to go Ape! When we got home we cooked some dutch oven ribs and potatoes while Paul and April went to the fireworks. We didn't think Seely would do to well with the fireworks, maybe next year. Paul and April left the next morning to go boating and we got ready to go to the Gunnison parade. We got there and it was just ending, I thought it started at 10. So we went to the park and hung out for awhile. That afternoon Adam and Kera invited us to go on a jeep ride with them and also Travis and Meagan, and Jake and Mckell. We went up beaver creek, through the slide, and then by deep lake. It was a fun ride and the mountain was just beautiful...green! On our way down the mountain we ate dinner with the Dyreng crew at Town reservoir.

July 11:
Aaron came home with a red '74 jeep. We weren't planning on getting a jeep any time soon, but we got a really good deal. Aaron was looking on ksl and typed in a metal door for his gun room and up popped this jeep. "Megan......" So we ended up trading the guy a Honda 110 motorcyle for the jeep. Yay, we're excited. Aaron is also now the Access commitee person for the county. He'll be trying to keep trails open on the mountain.

July 16-19:
Lake Powell! We had a blast as usual. Seely was wonderful. We took a little pool for her to sit in which kept her cool. We were parked next to Captain Gunnison again this year. There's never a dull minute with the Dyreng crew close by. There's always pleanty to eat, games to play, float'n time, and lotion to put on. I love it.

July 20:
Stacie had her baby. Brooke Monroe 5 lbs 10 oz and 18 in. She is beautiful! I think she looks like her mama.

July 23-25:
We headed over to Scipio, couldn't wait to meet little Brooke. Mom made navajo tacos. My mom is a great cook. The 24th Scipio had a parade, program, games at the park, and a town dinner. After dinner we went to uncle Lee's house for some entertainment. James brought over his kereoke machine and we sat in the back yard and had a concert. I'm not so good but you should here James and Scott. It was tons of fun. Saturday was the rodeo. Yee ha. It was a fabulous weekend.

The summer is sure flying buy. I don't know what happened to June...Is it June? I can't believe all the rain we've had and how cool it has been. Our garden has not grown much lately. Probably due to the cool weather and no sunshine... or it could be the weeds that are taking over... or it could be my gardening expertise! I like to garden and can't wait to get all this dirt around the house covered with grass and some flower beds.
Dad's birthday was on June 6th. Mom had a BBQ with some of the Monroe clan. Wish I would have taken some pictures. It was fun to see Chad and Leslie's new baby boy Miles. He's got the red hair like Hope. It's exciting to see what genes those two kick out. The rest of June has been a blur. Between work, young womens, the garden, and Seely, I stay pretty busy.
On the 14th I attended a Granny Jen day which are always a lot of fun. Girls only. We headed up to the cabin Sunday after church and spent the night. Good food, good company, and sewing, equalls a good time. I love my family!
This past Friday was a fun evening with the Petersons. We had a party at the Manti pool. The only thing upsetting was the mosquitoes. I hate them. Seely had a good time in a little floaty that Kera had.
